Remembering Cargo

Have you seen Cargo? If not, what’s wrong with you? Okay, okay, that was harsh. However, because we love the movie so much and feel that you need to see it, we’ve provided a link for us below.

So, what is Cargo? It sounds like a virus movie, and it is, but not the sort of one you’d think it would be. There isn’t any cargo containing a deadly virus hellbent on wiping out the human race. Cargo is a slow-burning zombie film about a father protecting his child at all costs.

Now, before you watch it, grab some tissues! It’s powerful. The film doesn’t contain much dialogue, but the story is beautifully told across visuals and some great acting, by short-film standard anyway.

Cargo’s directed by Ben Howling & Yolanda Ramke, and was a finalist at Tropfest Australia in 2013. The film has been made into feature length and stars Martin Freeman, giving us more reason to be excited. Check it out!
