Four Reasons We’re Excited For ‘A Quiet Place’

A former comedy actor has written a script for a horror movie and, with little experience, has decided to step behind the camera in order to direct said horror movie. Now, where have we heard of that before? That’s right – Get Out. But while we’re not predicting the same breakout success that Get Out has had, we still feel A Quiet Place will be another successful film for the genre. Here are four reasons why we’re excited for it:

John Krasinski

It’ll be interesting to see what Krasinkski does behind the camera. Now, you can easily say that he has little experience and that makes you worried. We understand. However, we’re excited to see what a comedy actor can do in the horror genre. That said, once the film comes out, excitement could go either way. We think it’ll be a very good film though.

Emily Blunt:

We love Emily Blunt. Sure, she’s had her few bad movies. Who hasn’t? But if there’s anyone who can rock a horror film, it’s her. Plus, Krasinski is Blunt’s husband, so seeing those two on camera with a family will be interesting to see.

The Concept:

Just imagine all those annoying people who would never just shut up. Yeah, they’re dead. Now, the film won’t be exactly like that, but how scary would it be to have to remain quiet for the rest of your days? The paranoia after even coughing would kill us. I’d feel bad for those who snore at night and don’t realise it. It’ll be cool to see how this film handles it.

The Trailer:

The trailer rocked it. It did everything right, from setting up the premise to being downright creepy. Film trailers are important, because they usually make or break it when bringing in the casual fan; and A Quiet Place looks like it has done that.

A Quiet Place is an upcoming American supernatural horror film co-written and directed by John Krasinski. The film stars Krasinski and Emily Blunt. It is scheduled to be commercially released by Paramount Pictures on April 6, 2018.
